Organic by Choice
Despite the strict regulations and the resulting additional, sometimes hard, work, the Knaller family is firmly convinced that organic choices in all fields of farm life create an added value.
That’s why, since 1992, the Gralhof is an organic farm – it is thus considered one of the pioneers in Carinthia.
The production of its own agricultural products and animal husbandry at the Gralhof are governed by the strictly controlled rules of organic farming.
The food offered here is prepared exclusively from organic and Fairtrade products. Any exceptions to this rule have to be expressly designated as such.
Furthermore, the Gralhof is a member of the Climate Alliance and has its own wood chip heating system. The floors in all new rooms have been treated with organic oil or wax and do not contain any varnish which might be harmful to the environment.
Since June 2007, the Gralhof is a firmly convinced and proud member of the Biohotel label. In order to obtain a Biohotel certificate for organic hotels, strict criteria need to be fulfilled. For more information, please click here.
